Ah, the intermediary stage. Otherwise known as the "make your fucking mind up" stage.
It never fails that I get to this point and have to sit and study and ruminate and chew, just to figure out what I want the final work to look like.
It's the background. I have the foreground characters about 75% done. But I don't have a clear idea of what the background should behave like. Which has led to 3 failed versions already. (sigh...)
I may go in and overpaint to reduce line activity and call it done. Anyhow, here's where I am right now.
