So here's a two panel teaser from page 5. Pages 5, 6 and probably 7 will be up Friday evening.
It's been a while since I worked on Winter's Solace and I ran into a particularly odd problem when I returned to it. I hated the skin coloring style. It was so....flat. I don't know why I chose to do it that way originally. I am sure I had a reason. It probably had to do with a stylistic consideration that I can no longer recall. *sigh* It might even be something as simple as that since October, I have gotten more comfortable with drawing/painting the two of them and so I am handling their color flats in a more confident manner. Who knows...
But try as I might, I could NOT convince my eye to sync the new pages with the original skin coloring style. So when the comic is done, some of the facial coloring in the first 4 pages will get a revamp to mate with these later pages. Deepen shadows, increase contrasts, etc. So this preview's skin colors are quite a bit more dynamic than the previous pages. I hope it's not to jarring.
