*Gasp!* I made it back!

I am back, my friends.

It's calm again.  I feel like a human being once more.  LOL!

I got stuck hosting a Christmas party for my husband's family at the last minute.  And OH how that was a circus.  His family is all conservative Southern Baptist and I'm... well... I'm me.  There's nothing wrong at all with being an uber conservative Souther Baptist family.  It's just, when you insist on coming to my house at the last minute--in a mass horde meant to impress even the Mongols in their day--it's rather likely that you'll be unhappy with all the multicultural evidence of my secular fascination with lots of religions.  My dancing Shiva got quite the bit of attention.  Not in a good way.

Then I got sick.  I got a flu that just seemed to stick.  Keeping up with work loads was hard, but I managed.  When my nose was finally not oozing, I put it back to the grindstone instantly and have staid in pretty good stead with my pro work.  Bouts of ICK! were mitigated by Dragon Age Origins on my beloved PS3.  I refuse to believe Alastair is straight.  I mean, C'mon folks...he makes jokes about looking good in a dress and calls Morrigan a bitch with all the Queenliness of a San Fransisco Midtown Madame.  *sigh* Ah, but if you really want your male character to be gay (including getting the non-graphic sex cut-scene,) you have to pair him up with the elf assasin, Zevran. Anyway... I went into the new year playing the game, and when I got sick, it was really the only thing I could do.  LOL!  But I had fun, even if I feel like a mushroom now.

New art is coming soon.  I had time to sketch a lot of interesting things.  My peeps in several fandoms will be getting treats soon!

We have spent much of January under snow and yesterday when I ventured out, I managed to do so just as a major snow storm rolled in.  LOL!  You should have seen me trying to keep my land-yacht on the road to get back home, going 15 miles an hour just because the snow coming down had visibility so low and the roads were a slushy, icy mess.  Hopefully I'll get back out again soon.  I need more art supplies and for once, poor Dick Blick doesn't have what I need.

The next big adventure...TAXES!.  Which are never fun.  My husband buys me Chinese food and takes the kids out of the house.  I am evil mean when I sit down to do taxes.

And that is where I have been for the last three weeks.  Not exciting.  But I'm back.  And now I have a lot of fandom stuff to catch up on.

Hugs and love to all!
